About Linsey Krolik


Linsey Krolik is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Santa Clara University School of Law. She is the Co-Supervisor of the Privacy Law Certificate, Assistant Director of the Tech Edge JD program, and Law Faculty Director of the interdisciplinary Bronco Entrepreneurs Advisory Clinic Hours (BEACH).

Professor Krolik teaches in the Entrepreneurs’ Law Clinic where she helps oversee law students as they advise entrepreneurs. She also teaches the class Law & Technology of Silicon Valley

Linsey’s private law practice focuses on privacy and responsible AI. She has been an attorney advising companies of all stages – from startups to medium to large global companies – for over twenty years. Before her full-time role at Santa Clara Law, she worked in-house for PayPal, ARM, BILL, and Palm in a variety of leadership and transactional legal roles, including leading the product legal team at PayPal, starting BILL’s privacy program, and being a leader of the award-winning legal team separating PayPal from eBay.

Linsey was appointed in November 2022 to the Consulting Group on the Establishment of a Legal Specialization in Privacy Law (“Privacy Law Group”). The group will provide recommendations to the California Board of Legal Specialization about whether to add privacy law as an area where lawyers can publicly identify themselves as specialists.
